Whole-Spirited: Your Divine Design

Jun 04, 2025

So many of us are wandering through life feeling like something essential is missing—because we’ve forgotten the truth: we are not just physical beings having a spiritual experience, but we are spiritual beings, here in this world for a purpose that goes far beyond just surviving the day-to-day. When we forget that, we disconnect from ourselves and from what truly matters.

The Overlooked Root of Wholeness

We live in a world that tries to convince us our spirits aren’t that important. We’re bombarded with messages about how we should look, what we should achieve, and how we should feel—all while the truest part of who we are sits quietly, waiting to be heard.

But the truth is, our spirits aren’t just a part of us—they are us. They’re not accessories to our lives; they’re the very breath that animates everything else. And when we disconnect from our spirit, we disconnect from our own wholeness.

I’ve seen it in my own life and in the lives of so many others: when we’re not aligned with our spirit, we feel like ships lost at sea—broken, battered, and searching for something we can’t quite name.

The Cost of Disconnection

This misalignment and disconnection don’t always announce themselves loudly. Sometimes, they show up as that quiet ache you can’t name—like you’re just going through the motions, feeling stuck, tired, and unsure of who you are or where you’re headed. I know that feeling intimately.

I spent years trying to fill the void with busyness—scrolling, shopping, working harder and harder, thinking that maybe if I just did enough, I’d finally feel whole. But the more I consumed, the emptier I felt. My spirit was sending out signals: exhaustion, restlessness, a constant sense that something was missing.

It wasn’t until I got quiet, until I stopped chasing and started listening, that I began to hear what my spirit was really trying to tell me.

Creating a Spiritual Bypass

In this episode, I share a powerful metaphor that’s been speaking to my soul: the spiritual bypass. A spiritual bypass creates space for divine connection to move through us. It’s about returning to that quiet place within, where God speaks softly and clearly.

When a heart is in distress, it needs a new pathway to keep the blood flowing, and when we’re spiritually disconnected, just like a heart bypass creates a new path for blood to flow again, we need to create new pathways to let life-giving energy flow through us again.

A spiritual bypass isn’t about ignoring the problem—it’s about finding a new way forward. It’s about creating space for divine connection to move through us once more, about returning to the quiet wisdom of your own spirit.

Whole-Spirited

I want you to know this: you are not powerless over your thoughts, your choices, or your life. You were created to live in divine connection—not to perform or prove, but to be. You were designed to be a vessel for God’s presence, not a machine for human approval.

When our spirits are whole, everything else begins to align. Decisions become clearer, relationships grow deeper, and we start to flow in the direction of meaning instead of exhaustion.

This is what it means to live whole-spirited: to move from a place of truth, to trust in the quiet guidance that’s always been within you, and to let that divine connection shape how you live, love, and show up in the world.

Reflection + Reveal Practice

At the end of the episode, I shared a Reflection + Reveal Practice to help you begin this journey for yourself. I invite you, if you will, to join me this week to practice living whole-spirited.

Reflection:

Ask Yourself: Where have I become just a remnant of my spiritual self?

Reflect on this, then answer the following questions.

Reflection Prompts:

  • Where in my life have I bought into the illusion that more is always better?
Take a moment to pause and ask yourself: Am I filling my time, space, or mind with things that leave me more disconnected than fulfilled?
  • What signals is my spirit sending me right now—and have I been listening?
Is it exhaustion? A sense of restlessness? Feeling lost? These aren’t just feelings to fix—they’re invitations to realign.
  • Have I been living more as a physical being chasing spiritual experiences, or as a spiritual being grounded in truth?
How you answer this might show you what’s really driving your choices, energy, and priorities right now.
  • What would it look like to create space for a spiritual bypass—to reconnect with God and with the deeper truth of who I am?
What small step could you take this week to return to your spirit—to breathe deeper, listen longer, and trust more fully?

Reveal:

Create a bypass, find a new path forward from the chaos of life, and return to the quiet wisdom of your spirit.

To start lets:

Set the space. Find a quiet place where you won’t be interrupted. Light a candle, bring your favorite beverage, and surround yourself with something that grounds you.

Set a timer for 20 minutes.

The first 10 minutes: We are simply going to be still.

No music, no journaling—just silence.

Let your thoughts come and go without judgment.

Breathe and let yourself notice what comes up.

For the next 10 minutes, we will journal, meditate, or pray. What works best for you?

Our goal here is to bring awareness back to yourself, your core, your foundation, your spirit.

Write down what emanates from within.

We have everything we need to maneuver this world within. We are equipped. We just often don’t listen and access what we have.

Your spirit and God will guide you and show you the new path.

✨Close with a simple, honest intention.

Write one sentence that expresses your intention and carry that with you throughout your day or week.

If this exercise doesn’t work for you, please find one that does.

I pray you allow yourself the space to reconnect.

Key Takeaways

✨ Spiritual alignment is the root of wholeness—it brings together all the parts of ourselves that get scattered in the noise of the world.

✨ We live in a culture that distracts us from our spirit, teaching us to prioritize physical, mental, and emotional noise over our spiritual well-being.

✨ When we’re spiritually disconnected, we often feel aimless, exhausted, and like something essential is missing.

✨ A spiritual bypass is about creating a new pathway to reconnect with our divine purpose and restore the life-giving flow of connection and meaning.

✨ Living whole-spirited means listening to the quiet guidance within, trusting in the divine design of our lives, and moving in alignment with who we were created to be.

✨ We’re not physical beings chasing spiritual experiences—we’re spiritual beings having a physical experience. And when we forget that, we lose touch with the essence of who we are.

✨ The journey to living whole-spirited is about returning to your true self, realigning with what’s sacred, and choosing to live each day from a place of grounded truth and divine connection.

Final Thoughts

Living whole-spirited isn’t about fixing what’s broken—it’s about remembering what’s always been true. It’s about listening to the still, quiet voice within you that’s been there all along, calling you back home.

When we begin to live from that place—aligned, connected, and whole—everything else begins to shift. We move from survival to surrender, from striving to standing in our truth.

This is the beginning of the Authentic Reveal—because once your spirit is aligned with truth, you’re ready to uncover who you were truly created to be.
