Learning Faith From the Earth
The sun is bright, and there is a barrage of scattered brown leaves that have already accumulated beneath the oak tree.
It is still pushing the mid-90s, and we are three days into October.
Even though the sun is high and unrelenting in its heat, showing no signs of fall, the trees, animals, and the earth still
prepare for winter. They do so in faith, or perhaps by a deep knowing.
They trust the seasonal change and do not waver in what the symptoms of the sky are telling them.
If we look closely, even the earth is teaching us how to listen to God and continue in our faith.
